Every Monday at 11.00 St Andrew's is open for an hour - come and have a cup of coffee or tea, plus biscuits and a chat with others. Dogs and children are very welcome. There is no charge!
This week it is Remembrance. Please note the following:
Friday 9th November: Garden of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion in Coleford. This service will start at 11.00, so please ensure you are there in time for this. I shall also be blessing the new Remembrance plaque.
Sunday 11th November:
9.30 Sung Eucharist followed by Act of Remembrance in Holy Trinity Coleford, after which wreaths will be laid on our two Commonwealth War Graves.
11.15 Act of Remembrance followed by Sung Eucharist in St Andrew's after which wreaths will be taken down to Holcombe Old Church and laid on our two Commonwealth War Graves. Our church bell will be rung to join with others in the country at 12.30.
3.00 Service of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion in Coleford. This will be presented on PowerPoint to make it easier for children and young people.
We shall have a Coping with Christmas service on Monday 3rd December at 6.00 in Holy Trinity. Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time when someone has died, or indeed if you have had a split in the family, or if someone has moved far away. I hope this service will help.
Other December dates will follow next week but please go to the Diary Dates for Holy Trinity or the Diary Dates for St Andrew's if you would like to know more now.
If you have any queries or comments, please email me.
