Christenings / Baptisms
First of all, the words Christening and Baptism refer to the same service, it's just that we use two different words. Roughly speaking Christening means 'putting on Christ' and Baptism means 'pouring of water'.
I am very happy to Christen anyone who lives in Coleford or Holcombe, or anyone who has a good connection with the parish.
You might like to have a look at the very helpful Church of England website Church of England Christenings www.churchofenglandchristenings.org where you can also light a virtual candle for your baby or child or whoever is being Christened. However, this is your Christening service so do email or ring me (details below) as soon as you can.

I need to explain what a Christening is, and why you are making this commitment, and we will need to discuss this first. You will need to make promises for yourselves, and so will not need Godparents. Telephone me on 01373 812705 or email me for a discussion.
